Bud Spencer is an Italian actor who was born in 1929. This Italian man is also known as Carl Spencer but his birth name is Carlo Pedersoli.

He is a very popular personality and is known for his acting, writing, singing, composing, and a variety of other talents and skills. In his youth, he was the first Italian to swim 100 m in less than one minute so he was also very famous for that reason and won many medals. Bud Spencer was also an active participant in Olympic water polo and was also known to be very tall.

Bud Spencer made his first appearance in the movie called Quo Vadis in 1951. Until the mid 1960’s, Spencer was cast in numerous Italian Movies. It was later in the 1960’s that he gained momentum in the cinema industry. Terence Hill and Spencer had worked in many Italian and Western, including films like ‘Hannibal’ released in 1959 etc. They both made huge hits and became very successful working together. They completed a total of 18 films altogether. His solo performance was seen in movies like The Five Man Army (1969), Everything Happens to Me (1980) and Superfantagenio (1986) etc. In 1967, due to his admiration for Spencer Tracy he changed his name to strong>Bud Spencer. His name change also brought him great achievements in life.

Spencer spent part of his life writing screenplay for some of his films. He is still very famous in Europe. After working and making various movies, his career in the cinema industry slowed after 1983, when he shifted his concentration more towards television. The TV action-drama was called "Extralarge". Spencer worked on it during the 1990’s. He has also written scripts for films which including ‘Banana Joe’ and many TV shows.

In 2007, the multi talented man turned 78 and celebrated his birthday in Berlin, where he was working on his new film called ‘Mord ist mein Geschäft’, Liebling’ (2009), starring Rick Kavanian.

As far as his personal life is concerned, he is also a jet and helicopter pilot. He owned an air transport company at one time but sold it. Very recently in 2005, Spencer has entered the political stage where he stood as a regional counselor for the Italian Party. Unfortunately, he lost the seat. In 2009, he joined UNESCO charity Gala in Germany.

Bud Spencer is a great entertainer. He has done almost everything in his life according to him. The viewers have seen his success with co-star Terence Hill and loved to watch his action and Western Comedy series.
