The Gothic thriller soars to new heights with The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, due to arrive in theaters on June 30, 2010. Directed by David Slade with the screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer.  Kristen Stewart once again plays the character of Isabella Swan whose teenage life was completely transformed when she met Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

Now her life is anything but normal, in the previous film she has faced off with the Volturi, a malicious vampire and a terrifying werewolf named Paul. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse reveals that these trials were only the beginning. The danger is real and brought vividly to life by the supporting cast that includes: Bryce Dallas Howard, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone and Dakota Fanning.

Seattle, Washington is the setting for the drama where danger is pervading the city. Citizens are caught in the vise of fear from several mysterious killings perpetrated by a sadistic vampire intent on revenge. Even those who are part of the underworld are at risk due to rising tensions and suspicions on both sides.

Bella now reunited with Edward, faces her graduation with thoughts of immortality instead of career plans on her mind. She is faced with what appears to be a no-win situation where she must choose between Edward, her true love and a vampire and her friendship with Jacob who is a werewolf. The rivalry for Bella’s affection only increases the hatred between these two natural enemies that Bella strives in vain to resolve.

In the midst of all of this turmoil, the true meaning of “hell has no wrath as a woman scorned” comes to life when Victoria creates a new vampire army to quell her bloodlust for revenge for the death of James, her mate at Edward’s hand. The idea of course is to remove Edward from Bella’s side, for as Victoria seeks “an eye for an eye” to set things straight. Yet unbeknown to Victoria, Bella and Edward have a secret hold card that could spell her demise.

Bella must come to terms with the consequences of her choice that could spark the mother of all bloodbaths between the vampire and werewolf worlds, and destroy her world in the process.  The suspense surrounding Bella’s choice of immortal life as a vampire to enjoy eternity with Edward or the heartbreak of living as a mortal and losing him forever is spellbinding to the very end.
