The 2010 romantic comedy “ A Nanny for Christmas” from Anchor Bay was directed by Michael Feifer with the screenplay written by Michael Ciminera and Richard Gnolfo based on story by Jeffrey Schenck and Peter Sullivan. Starring: Emmanuelle Vaugier, Dean Cain, Richard Ruccolo, Cynthia Gibb, Sierra McCormick, Jared Gilmore, Sarah Thompson, Clyde Kusatsu, John Burke, Caia Coley, Marla Maples, Keith Dobbins, Barry Barnholtz, Shirell Ferguson and Katie Condidorio.
In this comedy of errors, Ally (Emmanuelle Vaugier) is pounding the pavement looking for work but not having much success. The bills are piling up and Ally’s savings are dwindling if she doesn’t find work soon, she is going to be in a lot of trouble financially. Although she would look a corporate job with a corner office at this point she’s so desperate for an income that she thinks she would take anything. She puts in a call to her friend and gets an interview with Samantha Ryland (Cynthia Gibb), a high powered ad executive businesswoman she thinks her prayers have been answered.
Ally puts her best foot forward and dresses to impress, but she is so focused on getting to her interview on time that she almost knocks down one of the executives that work in the same office. Luckily Justin (Richard Ruccolo) is a good-natured guy and takes the accident in stride and apologizes as well.
When Samantha finally invites her into the office, Ally is surprised that she is only asked a few questions before being made an offer. But she’s even more surprised when she learns she has just been hired to be a nanny for Samantha’s two children. Ally has never been a nanny before and has no idea what she is supposed to do, or even if she will be good with children, but she cannot refuse the job because she needs the money.
Ally is introduced to Jackie (Sierra McCormick) and Jonas Ryland (Jared Gilmore) and it only takes them a few minutes to realize that Ally has never been a nanny before. But following the activity list from Samantha, Ally manages to win their trust and their time together becomes a great adventure.
But the day Ally brings the children to visit their mother at the office changes everything when Justin bumps into her again and this time asks her out on a date and romance starts to blossom.
