With high school days becoming a bittersweet memory now that they are graduates Patrick Darling (Eric Lehning) and his brother Carol (Cody DeVos) were looking forward to a lot of summer fun with their friends and the two girls that they adore. Addy (Leah High) and Wendy Hearst (Shellie Marie Shartzer) are best friends and the brothers are sure that they know they are interested in them. Although neither of the brothers have had the courage to do more that love them from afar, this summer might be the most memorable of their lives if the girls like them too.
But just as it seemed that everything was about to work out perfectly, tragedy strikes, before either brother can profess his love to either girl, Wendy disappears and all of her friends are baffled and at the same time terrified. The police search for her goes on but without success. Carol and Patrick are driving through the countryside searching and find Wendy tied to a tree, but although she does not speak to him, her body moves which makes Carol think she is still alive.
How Wendy ended up in the forest so far from home and who tied her body to the tree were just the first questions that he had, but Patrick is in a state of shock and confusion: here’s the girl that he loves who is not alive and not dead-what are they supposed to do? As they try to get a grip on the situation, the most important thing is to find out if they can revive her.
The brothers decide to take Wendy to a friend’s house until they can find out what is really going on here. Wendy’s body is moving but she doesn’t seem to act like she is alive, but dead people aren’t supposed to be able to move. Is it possible that Wendy has become a zombie? This is fast becoming a summer that neither one of the brothers will forget.
