Milo (Seth Green) is your typical, clueless 9 year boy who doesn’t really notice all the things his mother (Joan Cusack) does for him. So when Martians come calling and take his mother away, Milo is totally confused and at the same times is gripped by the total fear of losing his mother and his quest to rescue her and bring her back to Earth.
Milo’s adventure starts to make him think about the reasons for all of the attention on his mother. And when he’s told that the Martians are stealing moms from Earth to raise their own kids, Milo realizes if he doesn’t figure out a way to rescue his mother, he might never see her again. And then who would drive him to soccer practice?
Caught up in an environment like none Milo has ever seen before, he begins his search with the help of Gribble (Dan Fogler) and Ki (Elisabeth Harnois) Milo feels confident he will find his mom and go home. Gribble tells him that His quest will take a lot of imagination and courage, but he will be there to help him every step of the way.
What follows is a mind=bending adventure through Martian Land; trying to understand the natives and stay alive keeps Milo on his toes. Meanwhile the Martians have become aware of Milo’s presence and are actively looking for him. What Milo hasn’t figured out is how he going to get his mother and himself back to Earth once he finds her. And how will he stop the Martians from taking other moms away from Earth?
