The notorious crew of the Fast and Furious franchise returns, this time united by Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) for one last job that will let all of the members go their separate ways at last. Dom has been on the move since Brian and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) broke him out of jail; now Brian is on the opposite side of the law and just as much a hunted man as Dom has been for years.
Together, this trio finds themselves crossing several borders trying to stay one step ahead of the authorities. Finally landing in Rio deJaneiro, Brazil, they find themselves with their backs up against the wall, with a dangerous heist from a police station their only way out. They know who wants them out of the picture permanently and decide that the only way they will have their freedom is to contront the businessman with an offer he can’t refuse.
The plan that Dom and Brian come up with doesn’t exactly make their team members jump for joy. Roman (Tyrese Gibson) thinks that instead of being impossible to pull off, it’s an insane plan to attempt. The only consolation the team is that they will get paid very well for their services–if they make it out alive.
Dom and Brian have to convince their team of racers that the risk is worth it, but handling the corrupt businessman is only one of their problems, Federal agent LukeHobbs (Dwayne Johnson), is the other. Hobbs is not the type who gives up easily, no matter how many twists the path takes to finding the person he is assigned to track down. He is especially keen to capture Brian, who spent 5 years in deep cover, but bringing Dom back after his to escapes from prison will be the icing on the cake. He knows he is dealing with high level professional runners and is worse fears are realized when the two men he’s after manage to get into cars, leading the strike team is a death-defying chase through Brazil.
