I don't know who like horror movies here but some of them are awesome. This is a list with 100 important horror movies. I would be curious to know for which movie you have voted.
Don't vote for all of them, only 10 please.
I could extend the list but 100 it's enough fear and blood for a whole life

I didn't vote for ten I'm afraid because there weren't ten that really rocked my boat. However I did vote for the three that really scared my pants off.
The movie that scared me more than any other isn't on the list-it was 'Dog Soldiers'-a Brit movie about Werewolves.

Great list PeteS. I voted for 10 movies. I'm glad to see "The Toxic Avenger" in your list (n°14 or 15 for me). It's really a good and funny horror movie!

Definitely some of the great ones here! I only voted for one, and could easily vote for more than 10, but in my opinion the original Halloween was one of the true greats!
The first A Nightmare on Elm Street and the original The Shining really rocked my world when I first saw them, and definitely created my desire for horror!

I forgot to vote for The Toxic Avenger. I was 14 when I've seen this movie on theater. I remember very well the funny monster

You are definitively right adventureman. Halloween is a mark of the horror genre and I really aprecied this movie... the first one.
I admit my preference for werewolf in general

Looks like "Alien" has scared the most out of us.
I'm really not into horror movies...but from what I voted on I noticed the psychological thrillers were the ones I liked watching than anything gory.

What's amazing to me is that more than a third of the films on the list are pre-1968 films (I consider the 1968 film Rosemary's Baby to be the first "contemporary or modern" horror film). It just goes to show that some of the greatest horror films are "old" films.
