An incredibly intense movie, with fantastic actors (Russell Crowe and Christian Bale) and unpredictability around every turn. However, its ending was ... depressing.

It had a much older version, did anyone see that? I was wondering how similar they are.

I really enjoyed the new version of the movie. I've never seen the original. I agree that the ending was a bit depressing and did not leave you feeling good about much of anything, but other than that it was well acted and the actors themselves were really good.
