A populated island with a volcano is facing a major eruption. Clark and Lois go to write about it but Clark is forced to sit at the police station because he has misplaced his press pass. The plan is to blow up one side of the crater funneling the lava away from the inhabitants but the eruption starts early and a boulder severs the dynamite cord. Clark hears the eruptions and changes, moving Lois to safety and reconnecting the dynamite cord. Back at the daily Planet Clark notices his press pass in Lois's purse.
