Reason of the public domain status: Registered in the year it was made, but not renewed.
Sir Lancelot was one of a series of cheaply made but highly crafted TV shows made for the new ITV network in England in the 1950's.
In all of Arthurian legend, the most famous of the Knights of the Round Table is undoubtedly Sir Lancelot. This series, painstakingly researched by the History and Literature Departments of Oxford University, re-creates some of the notable exploits of the famous knight, as well as the deeds of the other members of King Arthur's court.
Synopsis episode 24 :
While preparing for knighthood, Squire Brian uncovers a plot by King Marhaus. Sir Lancelot again comes up against the wicked King, who is trying to increase his power by deceit and treachery. The king plans to break a treaty and take over a village.
