Reason of the public domain status: Registered in the year it was made, but not renewed.
Sir Lancelot was one of a series of cheaply made but highly crafted TV shows made for the new ITV network in England in the 1950's.
In all of Arthurian legend, the most famous of the Knights of the Round Table is undoubtedly Sir Lancelot. This series, painstakingly researched by the History and Literature Departments of Oxford University, re-creates some of the notable exploits of the famous knight, as well as the deeds of the other members of King Arthur's court.
Synopsis episode 7 :
King Arthur and his forces set out to capture a band of pirates that are said to be hiding out in a town on the coast. In reality the pirates aren't in the town but are not far from the castle, waiting for Arthur to leave so they can sack it.
